# 2 There are seasons to a man’s life. What am thankful for is that we don’t have to relive them every year like the normal seasons. If we were to gauge which season I am currently in, I would say that I probably in the early to mid summer. I’m an optimist. There are things I have experienced that have brought me great joy. There are things I have experienced that have brought me great sorrow. I have regrets. I have great memories. Every one of these experiences has made me who I am today. But there are things that I have done that will always turn my stomach, and leave me asking, “Why did I do that?” I have pushed the limits of myself to discover who, and why I am. I am satisfied with the answers I’ve found. Sometimes, though, those limits are thrust upon you, and you suddenly find yourself in a position of being tested. These are situations where you learn your limitations. This is where you find out what you are capable of at any given moment. It is in these moments that you discover things about yourself that you never knew before. They can be pleasantly surprising, or even disturbing. What is important about these tests is not how you react, but rather what you learn about yourself. I’ve learned that there are things I am capable of that I would rather not be capable of. Mainly hurting someone close to me. I will not allow that to ever happen again… I promise. Later, Rick
