School Blues

Yeah… Sure… a 12 week physics class in 6 weeks… Sure I can handle that.

Well here we are in our second week, and I’m already stressing out. I have the class on Monday and Wednesday. I have the Lab on Tuesday and Thursday . There is so much homework to do that it has to be done every night after class, or I would be dead.

Truthfully, it’s not the material that is so difficult, but rather the amount of it.

Lesson learned. I will save the summer semesters for the Gen Ed, and elective classes.

Some updates: Cheryl never did read my diary, nor will she. She said she doesn’t want to deal with reality. I did for safety’s sake delete some entries that would have caused trouble. It’s a shame I had to do that, but I have them stashed somewhere if anyone is interested in reading them again.

I’m seeing a therapist once a week to help me deal with the roller coaster ride I’ve been on for the last 5 years. He seems a bit more concerned about what I’m doing to make myself happy than he is about my marriage, although he has stressed the importance of maintaining a positive relationship with my wife. In short he is telling me what my mom told me last year: Focus on the positive things in my life. Easier said than done.

The kids have been great. A few weeks ago No. 1 and had a really bad fight, and it added to the problems Cheryl and I where having. He and I have some new rules now that didn’t exist before.

No. 2 is the king of baseball. His batting average is .400 +, he owns centerfield, and can nail you at home plate on a sac fly. Where the hell did he come from???? Not me! The Milkman did it!

No. 3 is doing very well in Home school. She has friends now. He grades are where they should be now, and she is caught up to the 5th grade level after that disastrous year she had in fourth grade.

Which brings me to this: When I’m done with school, I want to become involved as an advocate for alternative education rights in the US. I’m not a big fan of activism, or lobbyists, but this is cause I fully believe in. Anyway, time to get back to work.

Later,

Rick
