4 days of hell...

Late last week I started to get a little sick. Just started getting a little scratchy throat that's all really. In my office they have been ripping out walls and putting up new ones, so I thought it might be the dust.

Friday: No. 1 has his Birthday Bash, and I had to play chaparone to 8 15 year old boys. It all went off okay.

Saturday: 10 am Baseball game, we lost 8-6. Afterward I went to the office and studied until 9:30 pm. That night my sore throat started getting worse, and I hardly got an hour of sleep.

Sunday: I managed to get up, and get over to my office to resume studying once again. I felt really confident about the test, and I felt I was ready to take it. I took 2 nightime pain relievers, some Nyquil, and went to bed... and.just.laid.there.all.night. It seemed like everytime I started to dose off, something would happen to wake me up. I thought I was losing my mind. Plus, the virus was getting worse.

Monday: Called in sick to work. I was an absolute zombie. Went to see the doctor at about 11 am. Got drugs, went home and called my teacher, told him that I would not make it to the test. He was cool about it, and told me I could take it later on this week. So now I have extra pressure on me to get all my homework in, and get the test done, all this week. I realized something as well: It wasn't the virus that was keeping me awake, I was having some kind of anxiety attack about the test. I managed to fall asleep last night okay. I still need a few nights of solid sleep to get caught up, but at least I'm somewhat lucid now.

Note to self: NEVER... EVER...EVER take a hard course in 1/2 the time again

Later,

Rick
