The Paxil is not even noticeable now. For the first two weeks it was pretty intense, but not anymore. I’m sleeping on my own now, and Cheryl says I’m a lot easier to get along with. Go Figure. The weekend was busy like I said it would be. Friday I carbed up at Fazolis, and went home and watched Vanilla Sky. It was a good movie. I liked the message behind it. You are in control of you life. I know there are times when circumstances befall us that we have no control over. I have friends and family with cancer and MS. But despite the complications they have to endure, they are glad to be alive, and are trying to live their lives to the fullest. And I complain when I bounce a check. Saturday morning I woke up at 5:30, and dressed out for the MS-150. I got to Young’s Dairy, and we left for the first 75 mile leg at 7:30. I was a total breeze, and it was a great time. I hooked up with 5 guys and we took turns drafting all day. I worked out great and we finished at about 1:30 pm. There was a cookout that night, and some other activities, but I went to bed at 10:00. Before I did I called Cheryl. Something that I didn’t mention was that Saturday was our 17th anniversary. She had to work, and I had the MS-150. We exchanged our greetings, and we are going to do something later this week to make up for it. It seems as though our anniversary is not as important as it used to be. She and I agreed that we are going to pay more attention to the years that are multiples of 5 more than every year. She told me that No.2’s team that picked him up for another tournament actually won the first 2 games, and the next game was at 12:00 Sunday. I was feeling a little conflicted. Anyway, I got back on the Bike Sunday morning at 7:30 am, and for the first 40 miles I was fine. And then the heat started to set in. and my legs just simply died. I had nothing left in them when I got the 50 mile rest stop. And I started thinking: I would much rather be at a baseball game right now. As luck would have it, I was able to get a ride the rest of the way in. and I got to the baseball game at the bottom of the 3rd inning. They lost. I probably should have stayed. I think I jinxed them. So, my legs are sore, and my butt feels like I got gang raped in a prison riot, but it was for a worthy cause. This year we expect to raise close to $100,000 to help fight MS. Our team raised close to $8000. Cheryl and I are doing fine. I still wish that she would get some help with her depression. Perhaps seeing me having success with an anti-depressant might encourage her to give it a try. Later, Rick
