Last night Cheryl was off. We were sitting around watching the news, and she says to me, “Do you want to go and get a coffee?” Always wanting to take the opportunity to improve our relationship, I said yes. As we were leaving No.3 comes running out and starts telling Cheryl what she can, and cannot get her as far as clothing goes. We left, and as we were driving I asked her, “Why does Katie think we are getting clothes for her?” “Oh, well since you are taking her to the old church on Sunday, I thought I’d get her a new outfit. Interpretation: We are going to spend an hour longer than you planned. “I thought we were getting a coffee?” “Oh, well yeah, but I figured since we were going up there, we could take care of this too” So, she gets me all excited about going out for a coffee, and “neglects” to tell me of her hidden agenda. And I thought she was done punishing me. Does she really think that I am going to enjoy myself walking around The Limited Too shopping for clothing for a little girl? This is not a good time for a man, it is torture. She spent nearly and hour walking around, and walked out with 3 items. I, on the other hand took the opportunity to catch up on my window shopping. I refused to even step foot into the store with her. I might get cooties. While we were walking around, drinking our much deserved coffees, we walked into a Abercrombie and Fitch store. We walked around it a little, and I realized something that was shear business genius: Instead of paying people to advertise for you, why not get people to pay you? Because if you buy anything from Abercrombie and Fitch, you are paying for the privilege of being a walking billboard. Smart… very smart. And of course she had to show me what kind of necklaces and diamond rings she thinks are pretty. Of course she doesn’t want any of them; she just likes pointing them out me. Just a way to pass the time… I’m sure. I’m going up to Cleveland again tonight. Have a good weekend all Rick, Has left the building
